The University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, held a meeting today, Monday (2/3/2026), with the Council of the College of Dentistry. The meeting was attended by the Acting University Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem; the University Assistant President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Rahim; the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Majeed Al-Nasrawi; and the council members.
During the meeting, the programmatic accreditation file for the college was discussed and examined. The work of the committees tasked with following up on accreditation requirements was reviewed, along with a discussion of the procedures taken to complete the required academic, administrative, and technical standards, in alignment with the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The meeting addressed mechanisms for enhancing coordination between the University Presidency, the College Deanship, and the specialized committees. It also covered working according to the prepared plans to complete the accreditation requirements within the specified timeframes, with a focus on documenting procedures and addressing observations in a way that contributes to the success of the accreditation process.
This meeting comes within a series of preparatory meetings aimed at completing the programmatic accreditation requirements for the College of Dentistry, in preparation for the visit of the National Assessor Team. This reflects the university's commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic programs and elevating its institutional performance.
