About the Laboratory:
The Prosthodontics Laboratory at Al-Ameed University – College of Dentistry is a comprehensive scientific and applied facility aimed at training college students in practical skills within the field of dental prosthetics. It provides them with the necessary laboratory expertise to bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical application in accordance with modern academic standards.

The laboratory encompasses a comprehensive range of modern devices and equipment dedicated to fabricating removable dental prostheses, including:
• Vacuum Mixers
• Vibrators
• Model Trimmers
• Wax Base Forming Devices
• Flasking Presses
• Curing Units
• Vacuum Forming Units
• Lathe & Polishing Units
• Partial Denture Clasp Design and Forming Tools
• Fully equipped individual workstations for each student
The laboratory's capacity is 40 students per session. Workstations are organized systematically to ensure a practical and safe educational environment that allows for direct supervision by instructors and achieves optimal educational benefits.
Educational Services Provided:
Second Stage
Students are trained to:
• Identify the components of a complete removable denture.
• Understand the anatomical function of each component.
• Practically apply the fundamental laboratory steps for denture fabrication.
Third Stage
Students are trained to:
• Study the advanced design of removable partial dentures.
• Obtain detailed knowledge of denture components (Major Connector, Minor Connector, Clasps, Rests, Denture Base).
• Apply the correct steps for fabricating an acrylic partial denture according to scientific principles.
