The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the College of Nursing, Al-Ameed University, organized a scientific and humanitarian visit for students of the Pediatric Nursing branch to the Al-Mujtaba (p) Center for Blood Diseases and Bone Marrow Transplant in Holy Karbala, which is affiliated with the Al-Hussainiya Holy Shrine.
Mr. Mohanad Al-Saadi, the head of the counseling division at the college, stated in a declaration to the university media that this visit comes as part of a series of scientific and humanitarian programs aimed at enhancing the practical aspect for students, connecting them with the health reality, and developing their skills in professional and humane interaction with medical cases, especially children suffering from chronic diseases. "Through these initiatives, we are keen to cultivate human empathy and a sense of responsibility among students, as future practitioners in the health fields."
He added that the visit included a specialized scientific lecture presented by the center's staff, as well as a field tour of the laboratories to view the devices and diagnostic services provided to patients. The students also took the initiative to present in-kind gifts to the hospitalized children receiving treatment at the center, in a humanitarian gesture aimed at supporting them psychologically and instilling a spirit of hope in them.
