The Obstetrics and Gynecology Branch at the College of Medicine, Al-Ameed University, organized the final clinical exam for fifth-stage students in the subject of Gynecology using the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) system in the Clinical Skills Laboratory. The exam was held under the direct supervision of the Branch Head, Lecturer Dr. Hadeel Al-Shallah, and the subject professors.
Dr. Hadeel Al-Shallah stated in an exclusive declaration to the university media that adopting the OSCE system represents a qualitative step in evaluating students' capabilities in clinical skills and medical communication with patients. She emphasized that this method reflects the college's direction toward simulating medical reality using modern training methods that ensure highly efficient educational outcomes.
She added that the exam included a set of diverse clinical stations designed to evaluate various aspects of the students' clinical performance, such as history-taking skills, clinical examination, medical decision-making, in addition to skills in handling emergency cases.
She pointed out that the College of Medicine continues to develop skills laboratories and update assessment systems in line with the standards of global medical colleges, noting that this approach translates Al-Ameed University's vision of preparing doctors possessing rigorous scientific and practical skills.
