The College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at our university, continues to organize a training course titled "Developing Psychological and Academic Counseling Skills." This falls within the framework of the university's direction towards enhancing the capabilities of the teaching staff in the fields of counseling and psychological and academic support.
The course witnessed the attendance of the Acting University Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem, alongside a number of scientific and administrative department directors.
The course lectures were presented by Prof. Dr. Ali Tariq Abdul Hassan, Lect. Dr. Alaa Qasim Al-Awadi, and Lect. Dr. Ali Latif Kareem. They reviewed their academic and practical experiences in the field of counseling, while providing space for dialogue and the exchange of views with the participants.
The course included scientific and applied themes that focused on the concepts of psychological and academic counseling, mechanisms for dealing with students, and methods of providing them with appropriate support. This contributes to elevating their scientific and psychological level and enhancing a supportive and stimulating university environment.
