Our university participated in the concluding activities of the central graduation ceremony for female students from Iraqi universities and several Islamic countries (the eleventh cohort of Banat Al-Kafeel), organized by the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine yesterday, Friday, with the participation of 6,450 female students representing 14 Iraqi governorates and 7 Arab and Islamic nations.
Held at the Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) Complex, the ceremony witnessed broad official and academic attendance, featuring the participation of our university president, Professor Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, alongside several college deans and department directors at the university, as well as representatives of participating universities and delegations.
The concluding proceedings included addresses delivered by the Senior Official of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, His Eminence Allamah Sayyid Ahmad Al-Safi (may his glory endure), and the President of the University of Baghdad, in addition to cultural and artistic segments and documentary presentations. The event concluded with honoring several martyrs' families, university representatives, visiting delegations, and contributors to the ceremony's success.
The organization of this Banat Al-Kafeel ceremony comes as an affirmation of the importance of knowledge, the role of women in community building, and the integration between academic excellence, religious and ethical values, and national identity.
