Within the framework of its keenness to develop its students' clinical skills and enhance the applied aspect of medical education, the College of Dentistry at our university organized a training workshop inside the college's educational clinics. Targeting fourth and fifth-stage students, the workshop addressed the latest methods used in anesthesia and the use of laughing gas in managing dental cases for both adults and children.
The workshop was presented by Lect. Dr. Kamal Sahib Al-Tarafy and Asst. Lect. Al-Hussain Ali Nasrallah, who reviewed the scientific and clinical principles regarding anesthesia mechanisms. They demonstrated the indications for using laughing gas, its mechanism of action, and its significance in reducing anxiety and fear among patients, particularly children, thereby contributing to elevating the quality of therapeutic care and achieving the best clinical outcomes.
The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from the students, featuring a scientific discussion and answers to inquiries related to clinical applications. This serves to enhance their readiness to handle various pathological cases in accordance with the latest scientific standards and approved medical practices.
