Al-Ameed University Hosts an Interactive Seminar on First Aid Skills Training

Al-Ameed University hosted an interactive seminar on first aid skills training, organized by the Medical Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine through the Al-Kafeel Center for Health and Public Safety, in cooperation with the White Hands (Al-Ayadi Al-Baydhaa) Team. The event was held at the College of Pharmacy Hall at Al-Ameed University, in the presence of a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the medical group colleges from universities in the Holy Karbala Governorate.

The seminar began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech on behalf of the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine. The speech emphasized the importance of enhancing health awareness and spreading the culture of first aid among community members as a fundamental step in saving lives and reducing critical injuries.

The Director of the Media and Government Communication Department and Head of the Occupational Safety Unit at our university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, stated to the university media that the seminar included practical training sessions presented by a specialized team from the Al-Kafeel Center for Health and Public Safety and the White Hands Volunteer Team. These sessions covered topics such as handling emergency cases, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) methods, stopping bleeding, treating fractures and choking, and first aid for epilepsy cases.

He added that the seminar concluded by honoring a number of participants and exchanging shields of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in supporting health and educational programs.
