On Sunday morning, our university organized the Second University Dream Forum for the 2026–2027 academic year, hosting high school graduates and their esteemed families. The event aimed to introduce them to the university, its colleges, academic disciplines, administrative and scientific divisions, as well as its advanced educational, scientific, and laboratory infrastructure.
The forum activities commenced with welcoming the guests at the university entrance, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, reading Surah Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs, and listening to both the national anthem and the "Lahn Al-Ibaa" anthem of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine. This was followed by the university president's address, delivered on his behalf by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Lamia Abdul-Karim, and an address by the representative of Al-Muhandis Institute.
The forum program featured an introductory presentation highlighting the journey of the university, its colleges, majors, and academic environment, alongside a "Success Story" segment that showcased inspiring models of ambition and perseverance. The event also included honoring a distinguished group of high school teachers, students participating in the research exhibition, and top-performing students in appreciation of their valuable educational and scientific contributions.
Guests and their families were also given the opportunity to closely explore the university facilities, corridors, and colleges through an orientation tour. The tour aimed to present a comprehensive picture of the campus environment and the resources harnessed by the university to support the learning journey, develop students' capabilities, and refine their skills, enabling them to form a clear vision regarding their academic options so that choosing a college major becomes an informed step toward realizing their ambitions and building their future.
