The National Classification Committee for Scientific Departments at the College of Nursing at University of Al-Ameed held a meeting chaired by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shah Zanan Hassan Badr, in the presence of all committee members and with the participation of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Dhiaa Karim Al-Bayati, to follow up on and complete the national classification requirements for scientific departments.
The meeting addressed reviewing performance indicators, required documents, and evidence, as well as discussing mechanisms for completing the requirements and documenting scientific and academic achievements in accordance with approved national classification standards.
During the meeting, the Dean of the College highlighted the importance of viewing the national classification as a tool for evaluation, development, and continuous improvement, rather than merely a competitive ranking. He explained that elevating the level of academic and scientific performance represents a sustainable institutional direction adopted by the college across all operational sectors to deliver a rigorous academic program and produce competent nursing graduates capable of meeting community needs and keeping pace with scientific and professional developments.
