University of Al-Ameed held its 3rd Annual General Conference for the 2026–2027 academic year on Monday morning, with the participation and attendance of the Head of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Holy Shrine, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rasheed Al-Dada, member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, Dr. Afdal Al-Shami, and a number of official, academic, and faculty leaders, alongside educational stakeholders, university staff, and personnel.
The conference activities commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by the national anthem and the "Lahn Al-Ibaa" anthem. This was followed by the address of the Custodian of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine, His Eminence Sayyid Ahmad Al-Safi (May His Glory Endure), delivered on his behalf by the Head of the Education and Higher Education Authority and Board Member, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rasheed Al-Dada (May His Success Continue). The speech highlighted the significance of holding such conferences as an opportunity to evaluate overall academic performance and review operational trajectories, positively impacting the workflow of the university, educational institutions, and their outcomes in general.
The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, delivered an awareness lecture titled "Ambitions for Developing Curricula and Teaching Methods: Between the Impact of Driving Forces, Professional Ethics, and Inspiration from the Seminary Model." The lecture addressed a series of visions and proposals related to curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and the importance of keeping pace with changes shaping the educational environment, while emphasizing the need to consolidate professional ethics and draw from established educational models to build a more effective and impactful educational system.
The conference also featured a presentation reviewing the accomplishments achieved from the recommendations of the university's 2nd Annual Conference held in the previous academic year. Additionally, a panel discussion was held between the University Council and university staff to listen to directives, opinions, and proposals, discuss operational challenges, and explore appropriate solutions to reinforce the university's orientation toward developing the educational process and elevating output quality and performance standards.
