College of Pharmacy Organizes a Workshop on Digital Violence Against Women

The College of Pharmacy, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a scientific workshop titled "Digital Violence Against Women: Understanding, Effects, and Response Mechanisms," under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adiy Abdul Redha Hussein Al-Rikabi.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Araji, Director of the Continuing Education Center, who reviewed the fundamental concepts of digital violence and its legal and educational dimensions. Additionally, the College's Educational Counselor, Hussein Mohammed Obaid Al-Amidi, participated by addressing the counseling and awareness aspects and the role of academic institutions in preventing this phenomenon.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the increasing phenomenon of digital violence, outlining its forms, causes, and psychological and social effects. It also discussed ways to curb it and enhance community awareness regarding protection and response mechanisms.

The event was attended by a number of faculty members and students. It included interventions and discussions that enriched the topics, with attendees emphasizing the importance of continuing such activities that contribute to building a safe and aware university environment.
