The President of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami, received a delegation from the Karbala Health Directorate headed by its Director-General, Dr. Sabah Al-Mousawi, in the presence of the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Maytham Hamid Al-Qanbar, the Assistant President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul-Rahim, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, along with a number of heads of scientific departments in the college.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the bonds of cooperation in training the university’s students in various medical specialties within the healthcare institutions affiliated with the Karbala Health Directorate. They affirmed that Al-Ameed University was the first Iraqi university to sign an agreement with the Karbala Health Directorate in this regard.
Dr. Al-Mousawi explained that the Directorate has taken important measures to support this cooperation, stressing that the healthcare institutions in Karbala are proud to host the students of Al-Ameed University due to their high competence and distinguished practical skills. He further pointed out that the previous training contract has been extended with the addition of new clauses that keep pace with the development of modern scientific methods adopted by the university in preparing its students.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of integrative work between academic and healthcare institutions, in a manner that contributes to graduating competent physicians capable of serving society. They expressed their wishes for the students of Al-Ameed University to achieve continued success and excellence.
