The Dormitory Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center at our university, organized a workshop titled "The Role of the Social Researcher in Monitoring Student Behaviors Leading to Suicide." This initiative falls within the framework of enhancing psychological and social awareness among the staff working in the dormitories.

The workshop was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, Director of the Media and Government Communication Department at the university and the official in charge of social research in the dormitories. During the workshop, he discussed the role of the social researcher in monitoring dangerous behaviors among students, early intervention mechanisms, and the importance of psychological and social support in reducing negative phenomena within the university environment.

The workshop included multiple themes focusing on diagnosing worrying behavioral indicators and methods for professional handling of critical cases. It also addressed enhancing cooperation between social researchers and relevant university administrations to contribute to providing a safe and supportive university environment for students.

This workshop is part of a series of awareness activities that Al-Ameed University is keen to organize, aiming to elevate the counseling and psychological landscape and to promote a culture of prevention and social responsibility within the university campus.
