The College of Dentistry at our University organized an awareness workshop entitled “The Dynamics of Psychological and Social Violence Against Women: An Awareness-Based Approach,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Dr. Sara Ahmed Khudair, in the presence of the College Deanery, along with a number of faculty members and staff.
The workshop addressed the concept of psychological and social violence, its most prominent forms, and its impact on women, in addition to its negative effects on the family and society. It also highlighted key indicators associated with this phenomenon and discussed ways to reduce it through raising awareness and promoting a culture of respect and community support.
The lecturer emphasized the vital role of academic institutions in building a safe and supportive educational environment that contributes to empowering women and enhancing their status, stressing the importance of collective efforts to confront this phenomenon and mitigate its effects.
This activity comes as part of the scientific and awareness-raising initiatives organized by the College, aiming to promote human values and strengthen social awareness within the university community.
