As part of his continuous monitoring of the progress of the educational and academic process, the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, held a meeting with the College of Medicine Council. The meeting was attended by the Acting Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, and all council members.
The meeting took place within the framework of ongoing preparations to receive the National Assessor Team for academic accreditation. Discussions addressed key issues related to preparing the requirements for the visit and reviewing the measures taken to ensure accreditation standards are met. Additionally, several themes contributing to the development of the educational process and the elevation of the academic level within the college were discussed.
During the meeting, the University President affirmed his support for the College of Medicine's efforts in this direction. He emphasized the importance of concerted institutional efforts to achieve program accreditation requirements, noting that this will reflect positively on the quality of medical education and its outcomes.
