In commemoration of the martyrdom of the Mistress of the Women of the Worlds, the Pure Truthful Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her), and to extend condolences to the Household of Prophethood (peace be upon them), the University Counseling Unit organized a Fatimiyya mourning council in Imam Al-Mujtaba Hall. The council was attended by University President Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jash'ami, the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, several college deans, and a gathering of department directors, faculty members, staff, and students.
The council proceedings commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by a religious lecture delivered by the Husayni preacher, His Eminence Sayyid Hisham Al-Battat. The lecture highlighted key aspects of the blessed biography of Al-Batool (peace be upon her), focusing on her faith-driven and steadfast stances, as well as her oppression and the painful events she endured after the departure of her father, the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him and his family).
Sayyid Al-Battat also addressed the elevated status of Lady Fatimah Al-Zahra (peace be upon her) as a timeless role model for believing women, reviewing her stances in worship, patience, perseverance, and advocating for truth. He encouraged women to follow her fragrant biography, draw inspiration from her values and principles in building families and society, and walk along her blessed path.
The mourning council concluded with a moving Husayni elegy commemorating the tragedy of the martyrdom of the Pure Truthful Lady (peace be upon her) amid an atmosphere of grief and reverence, invoking her fragrant legacy in life.
