The legal guardian (Al-Mutawalli Al-Shar'i) of the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, His Eminence Allama Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi (may his honor last), affirmed the Holy Shrine's keenness to develop education, advance its reality in Iraq, and benefit from pioneering global experiences in this field.
This came during his reception of the CEO of the Finnish consulting company ADM, Mr. Azar Sawiris, in the presence of the President of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Holy Shrine and member of its Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Daddah Al-Mousawi, and its members: Mr. Laith Al-Mousawi (member of the Holy Shrine's Board of Directors), Prof. Dr. Nawras Mohammed Al-Dahan (President of Al-Kafil University), and Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami (President of Al-Ameed University).
His Eminence said, "We encourage openness to the successful experiences in Finland in everything related to the educational and academic fields. We are keen to provide the best educational environment, develop its curricula scientifically, and also develop the staff working in the educational sector by enrolling them in global programs and specialized courses.”
His Eminence added that "development is a fundamental goal in the educational process in all of the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine's educational and academic institutions," stressing, "We want to benefit from global experiences in this domain, while preserving our identity, and ensuring our specificities as an Arab Muslim community are preserved and protected.”
For his part, Mr. Azar Sawiris said, "The Finnish team intends to survey the educational reality in Iraq and present a vision and work methodology to advance it. We are happy to cooperate with the Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, which possesses the desire and the ability to develop the reality of education in the country."
He added, "I have reviewed work models of a high level of professionalism from Al-Ameed University and the Al-Ameed Educational Group. These are models that match, and in some aspects, surpass, what is practiced in Europe and advanced countries."
