The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, conducted a field tour to review the progress of ongoing preparations within the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Processions Group inside the campus, in readiness to receive the pilgrims of Imam Hussain and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Accompanying the University President on the tour were the Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdul-Rahim; the Head of the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Processions Group, Haj Asst. Lect. Majid Mohammed Al-Rubaie; the Head of the Medical Detachment, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani; and the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, Eng. Yasser Hussein Fadhil.
The delegation inspected the completion stages of organizational and service operations, along with the facilities and equipment dedicated to providing services to the visitors within the procession layout. The President emphasized the vital importance of completing all preparations in accordance with the highest standards of organization and safety, thereby reflecting the university's humanitarian mission, its active role in community service, and the commemoration of Hussaini rituals.
During the tour, the University President stressed the necessity of concerted efforts by the working committees to ensure the success of the pilgrim reception plan, urging the provision of various necessities that contribute to delivering the best services. This completely aligns with the authentic values adopted by The University of Alameed in serving the pilgrims of the Master of Martyrs, Imam Hussain (peace be upon him).
