The College of Dentistry at Al-Ameed University organized a field visit for second-stage students to the laboratories of Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Rashad Rashid Jawad Al Tohme. The visit aimed to enhance their practical skills and introduce them to the latest advanced technologies used in biochemical and biological research.
Dr. Al Tohme explained that the visit included a training workshop focused on laboratory safety mechanisms and methods for safely handling pathological specimens. It emphasized the importance of adhering to procedures for preventing contamination and infection, the principles of patient interaction upon their reception at the clinic, and mechanisms for maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
He indicated that it included an introductory tour of the high-tech research room, where modern devices and equipment were showcased. This equipment contributes to supporting graduation projects and developing students' research skills. This was in addition to a detailed explanation of the separation and digital detection technologies adopted in the laboratory.
