The Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine honored the winning students of the first annual major cultural competition for reading, which it organized at Al-Ameed and Al-Kafeel Universities. This took place during a visit by the competition's supervisor and member of the Holy Shrine's Board of Directors, Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, the Acting Assistant to the President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem, and the honored students.
This competition came as part of a cultural initiative launched by the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, under the directives of the Senior Official, His Eminence Sayyid Ahmed Al-Safi (May his honor endure), with the aim of encouraging students to read and enhancing their connection to the knowledge derived from the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them) and authentic Islamic values.
At the time, the competition witnessed the participation of students from our colleges alongside students from Al-Kafeel University. The participants demonstrated an outstanding level of interest in reading and cognitive exploration, reflecting their scientific and cultural excellence.
