The ceremony began with a recitation of a verse from the Holy Quran followed by the reciter of the Abbasid holy shrine, Muslim Aqeel, followed by the attendees standing up to listen to the national anthem and the fathers' anthem of the holy Abbasid shrine, and then poetic posts by a number of poets and professors, and then a theatrical scene was shown embodying the meanings of love for the homeland and sacrifice for its sake.
