The College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University organized the first forum for the college alumni today, Tuesday (27/1/2026), in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy; the Assistant President for Administrative and Legal Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdul Rahim; the Acting Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem; and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha. Also present were several directors of scientific and administrative departments, university faculty members, and a gathering of alumni and students.
The forum included presentations on various activities and professional experiences undertaken by the medical graduates. It highlighted the most prominent challenges they faced after graduation, aiming to transfer practical expertise to the current students and enhance their readiness for the next stage.
Additionally, the forum featured a panel discussion where opinions were exchanged on how to address the professional and scientific challenges encountered by the alumni. Proposals and solutions were presented to contribute to developing students' skills and preparing them for the labor market.
This forum comes within the framework of the College of Medicine's commitment to enhancing communication with alumni and students and supporting academic and professional development in alignment with the requirements of the contemporary medical reality.
