The College of Pharmacy Council held its first meeting for the new academic year, chaired by Acting Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Thulfiqar Al-Bassam, in the presence of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Faleh Shamkh, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Hamid Abdul-Hussein, and the department chairs of the college's scientific departments.
The meeting addressed academic and administrative preparations for the new academic year, following up on the workflow across scientific departments, evaluating the implementation of tasks and commitments, identifying potential operational obstacles to implement suitable solutions, and reviewing departmental needs for staff, academic materials, and laboratory supplies to enhance the learning and research environment.
The council also explored setting new development strategies built upon the college's achievements—chief among them obtaining full program accreditation—to advance academic quality pathways and open new horizons for growth, excellence in education, scientific research, and community service.
The meeting featured proposals presented by department chairs and updates on ongoing work, concluding with a set of recommendations and decisions supporting the college's trajectory in the new academic year, while emphasizing the importance of continued teamwork and building on past achievements to elevate academic and administrative performance and strengthen the status of University of Al-Ameed.
