The College of Medicine Council at Al-Ameed University held its first session for the new academic year 2025–2026. The session commenced with a review of the directives of the University President, followed by a speech from the Dean, in which he addressed the vision, mission, and objectives he aspires to achieve in leading the College.
The session also included an expression of thanks and appreciation to the former Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hassan Nasrallah, in recognition of his great efforts and continuous contributions in serving the educational process and advancing the College. Additionally, the Council extended congratulations and best wishes to the new Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, on the occasion of assuming his duties, wishing him continued success in leading the College toward further excellence and achievement.
The Council’s agenda addressed a number of significant topics related to the new academic year, including plans to enhance academic performance, prepare an ideal educational environment for students, and follow up on the implementation of training and research programs aimed at strengthening the scientific and practical competencies of students and faculty members.
The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of cooperation and working in the spirit of teamwork among all members of the College, as well as the commitment to implementing the proposed plans to ensure the success of the educational process and the achievement of the outlined academic objectives.
