The College of Medicine at our university organized the developmental formative exam for the Case-Based Learning within Small Groups (CBD-TBL) course, with the participation of students from the first three academic stages. The exam recorded an outstanding attendance rate exceeding 80% across all stages, despite not being counted towards the final grades.

The exam was conducted under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, and the follow-up of the College Deanship and the Medical Education Unit, in cooperation with the basic and clinical branches, which showed clear support for this pioneering educational experience.

The exam questions were characterized by an advanced level that focused on analysis skills and the application of knowledge, aligning with the nature of the course which is based on the integration of basic, clinical, and behavioral sciences. The questions were also formulated in a style that largely simulates the USMLE exams, which contributes to enhancing clinical thinking and raising the students' scientific readiness.
