College of Dentistry Organizes a Workshop on the Clinical Uses of Melatonin

The College of Dentistry organized a workshop titled "Melatonin Clinical Uses: Benefits, Indications, and Side Effects," presented by Asst. Lect. Ayman Ahmed Jawad. The event was attended by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Samer Majeed Al-Nasrawi, and the Associate Deans, as part of the continuing medical education curricula aimed at developing the skills of the teaching staff and enhancing the institutional work environment.

The workshop covered an introduction to the hormone melatonin and its mechanism of action within the body, in addition to its most prominent clinical uses in the medical field. It highlighted the approved indications for use and potential side effects, as well as discussing the latest scientific developments related to it according to reliable sources.

This event comes within a series of scientific activities that the college is keen to organize, in alignment with the university's directives to support continuing medical education programs and elevate the academic and professional level of its affiliates.
