The University Psychological Counseling Division organized today, Tuesday (10/3/2026), a mourning gathering to commemorate the martyrdom of our Master, the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (Peace Be Upon Him). This took place at the Imam Al-Mujtaba (Peace Be Upon Him) Hall, in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, the Scientific and Administrative Assistants, and with the participation of a gathering of college deans, professors, and employees, offering condolences to the Infallible Household of Prophethood (Peace Be Upon Them) on this painful anniversary.

The mourning gathering commenced with a blessed recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, recited by the College of Medicine student, Ahmed Abdul Hussein. Following this, the Husseini orator, Sayyid Hussein Al-Safi, took the podium, beginning his lecture with a moving and sorrowful elegy, in which he evoked the magnitude of the tragedy on the hearts of the loyalists and its spiritual dimensions.

During his lecture, Sayyid Al-Safi presented a fragrant overview of the biography of Imam Ali (Peace Be Upon Him), shedding light on his life, struggle, patience, and sacrifices, as well as the suffering and persecution the Household of Prophethood endured during that period. He reviewed the lessons and morals derived from his blessed biography regarding patience, steadfastness, and championing the truth.

This gathering comes as part of the awareness and religious activities that the University Psychological Counseling Division is keen to organize, aiming to enhance religious values, consolidate the culture of loyalty to the Ahl al-Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them) within the university community, and commemorate their blessed occasions.
