The University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, received a delegation from the Finnish National Agency for Education (Finnish Education Council). The meeting was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdul Kareem, Director of the Department of Scientific Cooperation and Cultural Relations at the university. This reception occurred as part of the delegation's official visit to the projects of the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, following the signing of a strategic contract between the Holy Shrine and the Finnish Council.
This visit comes within the context of joint cooperation aimed at launching Iraqi-Finnish educational projects, considered the first of their kind in Iraq and the region. This initiative falls within the framework of the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine's vision, which regards education as the pivotal field for national development and social prosperity.
