The University Psychological Counseling Division at Al-Ameed University organized a mourning gathering to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Musa bin Ja'far Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him). The event was held today, Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Imam Al-Mujtaba (peace be upon him) Hall, attended by the University President, several college deans, professors, staff, and students.
The gathering began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by the medical student Ahmed Abdul Hussein. This was followed by a religious lecture delivered by the Hussaini preacher Sheikh Hazim Al-Atwani. He discussed the fragrant biography of our Master Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him), highlighting the lessons of patience, steadfastness, and reform it holds, as well as his missionary role in consolidating Islamic values and confronting injustice and deviation during the rule of oppressors.
The lecturer emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the moral and humanitarian principles embodied by Imam Musa bin Ja'far (peace be upon him) in the reality of university and social life. This contributes to building a balanced and conscious personality capable of bearing responsibility and serving the community.
This gathering is part of the religious and cultural programs that Al-Ameed University is committed to organizing in sympathy with the Household of Infallibility and Prophethood (peace be upon them), to commemorate this painful anniversary, and to enhance religious identity and authentic values within the academic community.
