The Research Team Delegated from Al-Ameed University to the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB) in Tehran Concludes Its Workshop

The research team delegated from Al-Ameed University has concluded the activities of the advanced scientific workshop organized by the National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (NIGEB) in Tehran, Iran, under the title: “Advanced Biotechnology: Research and Application Horizons.” The workshop was hosted by one of the leading research institutes in the field, with the participation of distinguished faculty researchers from Al-Ameed University:
(Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Alawi Al-Ghanmi, Lect. Dr. Ali Hamad Al-Kalkawi, Dr. Ahmed Joudah Al-Saadi, and Asst. Lect. Ali Mohammed Jaafar).

The workshop addressed advanced scientific themes in the areas of gene and cell therapy, biomedical technologies, and the applications of genetic engineering in medicine, industry, and agriculture. Researchers from the institute presented the latest innovations and scientific outcomes in these fields.

The workshop aimed to enhance the exchange of knowledge and expertise on the latest advancements in genetic modification, biomedical technologies, gene and stem cell therapy, and the applications of genetic engineering across medicine, industry, and agriculture.

The lecturers from NIGEB highlighted the most prominent innovations and research linked to modern biotechnologies, in addition to reviewing the institute’s key research outcomes.

Members of the Al-Ameed University research delegation emphasized that participating in such workshops contributes to strengthening knowledge and expertise exchange, fostering international scientific partnerships, and developing national research capacities—ultimately reflecting positively on elevating the academic and research standards within the university and Iraqi institutions.
