A faculty member of the College of Medicine at Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Ali Tariq Abdul Hassan, participated as a keynote speaker in the proceedings of the 12th International Conference of Imami Physicians, hosted by Al-Zahraa University from December 25 to 28, 2025, in recognition of his distinguished academic career and solid scientific expertise in the field of medical education.
During the conference, Dr. Tariq delivered a distinguished scientific lecture entitled “Professional Ethics and Professional Identity in Medical Education: Two Pillars of Excellence and Social Responsibility.” In his presentation, he provided an in-depth discussion of the concept of physicians’ professional identity and its importance in shaping professional behavior, emphasizing the close relationship between professional ethics and sound medical practice. He also highlighted mechanisms for embedding these values within academic curricula and clinical training environments, contributing to the preparation of physicians who possess scientific competence, humanistic awareness, and the ability to keep pace with contemporary challenges.
The lecture received wide acclaim and appreciation from participants and attendees, including a distinguished group of academics, experts, and specialists in the fields of medicine and medical education from various universities and research institutions.
