Under the auspices of the University Presidency and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi, the Psychological Counseling Unit in the college organized a humanitarian charitable activity, hosting a number of orphans from the Al-Ayn Social Care Foundation along with their families within the university's precincts.
The event commenced with the distribution of Eid clothing to the orphan children in an initiative that embodied the values of social solidarity, which the university is keen to consolidate. This was followed by an educational lecture titled "Proper Child Nutrition," presented by the educational counselor, Shaimaa Mohammed Ali, in which she addressed the importance of a balanced diet and the essential vitamins for a child's growth and health.
Furthermore, the Al-Kafeel Team from the College of Pharmacy added an atmosphere of joy through various segments that included the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, as well as educational and religious competitions. Meanwhile, the college students provided food baskets to the orphans' families in support of them.
The event concluded with a tour for the children in the university's corridors, during which they expressed their future scientific ambitions. This event comes as part of the university's humanitarian mission to support orphans and instill hope in their hearts.
