As part of its efforts to enhance the practical aspects of students' education, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Ameed University organized a scientific visit for its third, fourth, and fifth-year female students to Al-Joud Intravenous Solutions Factory, affiliated with Al-Abbas Holy Shrine. The visit was conducted under the supervision of the college’s academic staff and was warmly welcomed by the factory management.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the stages of intravenous solutions production, including sterilization and filling processes, adhering to the latest international standards. Mr. Haider Al-Kar’awi delivered an informative lecture, explaining the factory’s operations and mechanisms. He also addressed the students' inquiries about the global pharmacopoeias followed by the factory, as well as the various types and sizes of solutions it produces.
The visit aimed to enhance the students’ scientific and practical knowledge, bridging the gap between theoretical curricula and practical applications.
