The College of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department and the Continuing Education Center, held a training course titled: "Explanation of the Concepts and Indicators of the ISO 17025:2017 Standard."
The course was presented by the Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, Asst. Lect. Ahmed Sabih Aboud. He reviewed the most prominent themes of the standard, the mechanisms of its application in educational institutions and laboratories, in addition to clarifying the accreditation requirements and how to achieve compliance with them.
The course aimed to shed light on the basic concepts and approved standards in the ISO 17025:2017 standard, and to explain the most important indicators that contribute to ensuring laboratory quality and performance efficiency, thereby enhancing the reliability and accuracy of results in accordance with international standards.
The course witnessed the attendance of a number of teaching staff and personnel, who interacted with its themes by asking questions and making interventions, which contributed to enhancing the scientific benefit and achieving the objectives of the training program.
This course comes as part of a series of scientific activities that the university is keen to organize, with the aim of developing skills and enhancing the culture of quality and academic accreditation.
