Al-Ameed University commemorated the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) by holding a mourning assembly at the Imam Al-Hasan Al-Mujtaba Hall (peace be upon him). The event was attended by the Scientific Assistant, Prof. Dr. Maytham Hameed Al-Qanbar, the Administrative and Legal Assistant, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Kareem Abdulraheem, along with a number of faculty members, staff, and students of the university.
The assembly opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, recited by Musa Ahmed, a student from the College of Medicine. Following this, the distinguished Hussaini preacher, Sheikh Hasanein Al-Khaqani Al-Hilli, delivered a lecture in which he highlighted aspects of the noble life of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family). He underscored the profound values embodied in the Prophet’s blessed life—faith, struggle, patience, and mercy—emphasizing the importance of drawing inspiration from his timeless example in addressing the challenges of our present reality.
The assembly concluded with supplications for the safety and peace of Iraq, the protection of its noble people, and a reaffirmation of the commitment to follow in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) in promoting the principles of unity, love, and sincerity in action.
