The College of Pharmacy, under the supervision of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul Redha Hussein Al-Rikabi, organized a specialized scientific lecture titled “Identification of Key Antidiabetic Medicinal Plants / Use of Medicinal Plants for Diabetes.” This lecture was held as part of the university’s programs aimed at enhancing scientific awareness and advancing academic and professional knowledge.
The lecture was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mazen Salim Shaker, who discussed the most prominent medicinal plants used to help control diabetes, their mechanisms of action, and the latest scientific studies addressing their efficacy and safety of use.
The lecture witnessed notable engagement from participating faculty members and students, as it provided valuable scientific information that contributed to linking theoretical knowledge with practical applications in pharmaceutical fields, while highlighting the role of evidence-based complementary medicine.
