The College of Medicine Council held its sixth session chaired by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, and attended by the heads of the scientific branches. It commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha for the souls of the righteous martyrs, followed by a discussion of a number of important academic and administrative themes that contribute to developing the educational process and enhancing the academic journey in the college.
The attendees also discussed the necessary requirements for raising the national and global ranking of medical colleges, which enhances the college's scientific and academic standing locally and internationally. They discussed proposals submitted by the scientific branches regarding updating the study curricula, in alignment with the college's directions to include topics related to the ethical, psychological, social, and humanitarian aspects of the medical profession.
The council touched upon discussing a number of student complaints and ways to find appropriate solutions for them, taking into consideration the proposals submitted by them, which contributes to improving the educational environment and responding to the students' needs.
