The College of Nursing organized a training workshop entitled “Workplace Wound First Aid”, as part of the university’s efforts to enhance health awareness and reinforce occupational safety concepts among its staff.
The workshop was delivered by University Nurse Zahraa Najah Hassan, a faculty member at the College of Nursing. It addressed the fundamental principles of first aid for wounds, proper methods for managing injuries that employees may encounter during their daily duties, as well as preventive measures that help reduce risks in the workplace.
The workshop targeted staff members from the Maintenance, Services, Agriculture, and Crafts units at the university. It witnessed notable engagement from participants through practical demonstrations and constructive discussions that contributed to raising awareness and preparedness for handling emergency situations.
This workshop is part of a series of awareness activities that Al-Ameed University is keen to organize, in support of a safe and healthy work environment and in service of the university community.
