The President of the University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashamy, held a meeting with the directors of several concerned departments to review the progress of ongoing preparations within the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Processions Group inside the university campus, in readiness to receive the crowds of pilgrims of Imam Abu Abdillah al-Hussain and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) during the million-man Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Umm al-Baneen (peace be upon her) Processions Group, Haj Asst. Lect. Majid Mohammed Al-Rubaie; the Head of the Medical Detachment, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani; and the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, Eng. Yasser Hussein Fadhil. Together, they reviewed the stages of work and completion rates, alongside organizational and service plans, as well as the facilities and dedicated equipment within the procession layout to deliver various services to the honorable pilgrims.
The University President emphasized the necessity of completing all tasks within the specified timelines to achieve the highest levels of readiness and organization. He pointed out that serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) represents both an honor and a responsibility that requires the concerted efforts of all committees and departments to ensure the success of the service plan. Furthermore, he directed the provision of all logistical, medical, and service requirements to guarantee the delivery of integrated services befitting the grandeur of this blessed occasion, thereby embodying the humanitarian and community role played by The University of Alameed in serving Hussaini rituals and the pilgrims of the Master of Martyrs (peace be upon him).
