As part of the activities of the First University Day Forum for the new academic year 2025–2026, organized by Al-Ameed University on the first day of the academic year, the Department of Media and Government Communication at our university met with a group of students from the participating colleges to explore their impressions, opinions, and the impact of this event in strengthening their sense of belonging to the university and boosting their academic motivation.
In this regard, student Haider Mohammed Kadhem from the College of Medicine said:
“The organization of the forum at the beginning of the new academic year provided us with an opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of the university’s vision and mission. It also contributed to motivating us to remain diligent and committed to academic excellence from day one.”
Meanwhile, student Hussein Sajid, also from the College of Medicine, emphasized that:
“The forum combined awareness-raising and educational aspects with an atmosphere of encouragement and direct interaction with our professors, which strengthens our connection to the university and drives us to fulfill our responsibilities as seekers of knowledge.”
From the College of Pharmacy, student Ali Hussein Abd explained:
“This forum is an important experience in shaping the character of the university student through the guidance lectures and interactive activities that reflect the university’s commitment to elevating students both academically and morally.”
Furthermore, student Mujtaba Abdul Ameer from the College of Pharmacy expressed his satisfaction with participating, saying:
“I felt that the forum was a clear message that the university stands by its students and keeps pace with their ambitions. It created a positive atmosphere that inspires optimism and confidence at the start of the new academic year.”
The meetings concluded with an affirmation that this forum represented a successful first step toward establishing stimulating scientific and spiritual atmospheres that align with Al-Ameed University’s mission of creating a solid educational environment that meets the demands of the current stage and the aspirations of students.
