Al-Ameed University hosted today, Saturday (November 8, 2025), the second day's activities of the Fourth Dar Al-Rasoul Al-A'dham International Scientific Conference. The conference is held in cooperation with the College of Basic Education for Girls at Al-Ameed University, with the participation of a selection of researchers from inside and outside Iraq.
The opening session was attended by the President of the Education and Higher Education Authority at the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine and member of its Board of Directors, Prof. Dr. Abbas Rashid Al-Daddah Al-Mousawi; the President of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami; the Assistants (to the president), Deans, department directors, and a number of academic and scientific figures.
The activities began with a blessed recitation from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surat Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs, followed by the Iraqi national anthem and the anthem of the Al-Abbas (p) Holy Shrine, entitled "Melody of the Forefathers" (Lahn Al-Abaa).
The University President, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami, delivered a speech welcoming the guests and participants. He affirmed that the Prophetic biography represents a way of life, a source of guidance and legislation, and a practical embodiment of the values of mercy, justice, and wisdom whose foundations were laid by the Holy Prophet (PBUH), noting the importance of following his fragrant biography in building the individual and society. He also praised the efforts of the scientific, administrative, and media committees that contributed to organizing the conference and the success of its activities.
At the conclusion of the activities, three scientific sessions were held to discuss various themes addressing the utilization of the Holy Quran and intellectual methodologies in the study of the Prophetic biography, as follows:
The Third Session: Titled "The Utilization of the Holy Quran in the Writings of Orientalists on the Prophetic Biography 1," chaired by Prof. Dr. Falah Al-Asadi.
The Fourth Session: Titled "The Utilization of the Holy Quran in the Writings of Orientalists on the Prophetic Biography 2," chaired by Prof. Dr. Salma Abdul Hamid Al-Hashimi.
The Fifth Session: Titled "Historical Methodologies and Quranic Constants in the Study of the Prophetic Biography among Contemporaries," chaired by Prof. Dr. Hadi Shandookh.
The second day concluded with the exchange of constructive scientific discussions and interventions that enriched the conference's themes and contributed to enhancing academic research in the noble Prophetic biography.
