The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Ameed University, organized a humanitarian visit to the Elderly Care Home (Women’s Section) in the Al-Jayr area of the Holy Province of Karbala, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul-Ridha Hussein Al-Rikabi.
The visit was conducted with the participation of the “Al-Kafil” Volunteer Team and under the supervision of the educational counselor Shaimaa Mohammed Ali. During the visit, gifts and flowers were presented to the elderly women, along with a variety of entertainment and social activities aimed at bringing joy and happiness to their hearts and strengthening human connection between the students and the elderly.
This initiative reflects Al-Ameed University’s commitment to nurturing a sense of social responsibility among its students, and embodies the values of compassion, respect, and human solidarity, in addition to contributing to the enhancement of the morale of the elderly and recognizing their lifelong contributions and service to society and the nation.
