To enhance the quality of the educational process and elevate academic performance, the Medical Education Unit at the College of Medicine at University of Al-Ameed organized a training workshop dedicated to analyzing the 2026 academic year exam results, feedback, and preparing improvement plans.

Presented by the Head of the Medical Education Unit at the college, Prof. Dr. Hussam Al-Zuwaini, with the participation of scientific department representatives—including department heads or their deputies—the workshop covered several key training modules. Most notably, these included reading and analyzing exam results according to psychometric analysis indicators, understanding statistical metrics linked to question quality and student performance, as well as analyzing feedback to identify strengths and areas requiring development.

The workshop also trained participants on formulating improvement plans by pinpointing problems or weaknesses, establishing appropriate corrective and developmental actions, defining responsibilities and execution timelines, setting performance measurement indicators, and establishing follow-up and evaluation mechanisms.

Organizers emphasized the importance of adopting a standardized template for improvement plans across all scientific departments to help document procedures, monitor implementation, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and tie evaluation results to evidence-based development measures.

This initiative falls within the College of Medicine's ongoing efforts to consolidate concepts of quality and continuous improvement, developing the educational process in alignment with modern academic standards.
