Al-Ameed University has launched its second tree planting campaign in compliance with the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the guidance of the President of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashaami. This campaign aligns with the national initiative introduced by the Prime Minister of Iraq, Engineer Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, aimed at planting 100 million trees across all provinces of Iraq.
The campaign was organized by the University’s Student Activities Department, in collaboration with the Agricultural Division, involving faculty members, staff, and students. It included planting trees in parking areas and along the external roads of the university. This effort is part of the environmental initiatives seeking to expand green spaces and enhance the environmental quality in Iraq. Through these campaigns, Al-Ameed University aims to contribute to the national goals of promoting sustainable environmental practices and actively participating in initiatives focused on environmental protection and quality improvement.
