The Department of Media and Government Communication at our university received the former director of the Karbala Satellite Channels Group, the media figure Mr. Haider Chalukhan, at the department's headquarters. He was welcomed in the presence of the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Mohsen Al-Sultani, to discuss several files of mutual interest in the fields of institutional and digital media.
The meeting featured an exchange of views and expertise regarding the development of media operations, alongside discussing cooperation mechanisms for an electronic media platform project. This platform will dedicate its coverage to the education and higher education institutions affiliated with the Holy Abbasid Shrine, contributing to unifying media efforts and highlighting the scientific and academic achievements of these institutions through professional content that keeps pace with the latest methods of digital media.
Both sides also emphasized the importance of enhancing media integration among educational institutions and utilizing specialized expertise to develop government communication tools, thereby serving the academic mission and reinforcing the presence of educational institutions in the media sphere. They concluded by agreeing to maintain close coordination regarding the technical and media aspects of the project, which is expected to launch in the near future.
