The activities of the scout camp, organized by the Al-Kafeel Scout Association, kicked off at the Al-Alqami Visitor Complex—belonging to the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine and located on the Karbala-Babil highway—as part of a three-day program. The participating students are supervised by university faculty member Dr. Ali Hamid Al-Gulgawi, in a program combining scouting, cultural, and recreational activities designed to develop skills and foster cooperation and teamwork among participants.
The first day of the camp witnessed an enthusiastic atmosphere, beginning with a gathering in the main hall of the Al-Alqami Complex for the opening ceremony, set against a backdrop of discipline and vitality characteristic of scouting activities, followed by a succession of diverse program modules.
Participants then transitioned to a tour through the oases of the Green Belt, managed by the Holy Shrine, bringing the camp experience into the heart of nature. An outdoor session was held featuring a series of recreational scouting games and activities, turning the open spaces into an arena for interaction, participation, and skill acquisition in a lively environment.
Across its three days, the camp features a rich and varied program integrating scouting, cultural, and recreational activities alongside group sessions, offering participants an integrated experience that reinforces values of responsibility, discipline, initiative, and teamwork.
The camp's activities extend beyond entertainment to serve as practical stations for character building and capability development, where knowledge aligns with practice, transforming group games and activities into opportunities for collaboration, communication, and trust-building among participants.
