The Indexing and Information Systems Center at the Library and House of Manuscripts of the Holy Al-Abbas Shrine—in cooperation with University of Al-Ameed and the Al-Fadl Center for Manuscript Restoration, and in scientific partnership with the College of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Baghdad, alongside the Departments of Information and Knowledge Technologies at the Universities of Mustansiriyah, Basra, and Mosul—announced the launch of the 3rd Specialized International Conference on Information and Libraries, scheduled to take place from October 13 to 15, 2026.
Organizing the conference comes as part of scientific efforts aimed at enhancing research and development in the fields of information, libraries, and knowledge technologies, while opening broader horizons for scientific and academic cooperation between university institutions and specialized centers to keep pace with modern developments in the information sector and digital transformation.
The conference organizing committee also announced the start of receiving research abstracts from prospective participants in according with the themes, guidelines, and instructions specified in the attached file, inviting researchers, academics, and specialists to contribute through their rigorous scientific studies and papers.
The conference is expected to serve as a key scientific platform bringing together researchers, specialists, and relevant institutions to exchange expertise and ideas while discussing prominent developments and challenges in information, libraries, and knowledge technologies.
