The Student Activities Department at Alameed University launched the Alameed University Five-a-Side Football Championship, with the participation of all colleges and departments of the university, and in the presence of a number of staff members and sports enthusiasts.
The championship witnessed broad participation from university staff, with matches characterized by a distinctive competitive atmosphere and high sportsmanship, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting sports activities and strengthening communication among its staff.
In a statement to the University Media, Dr. Hussein Hakim, Director of the Student Activities Department at Alameed University, explained that the championship aims to create a positive atmosphere among staff members, reduce the pressures of daily work, and enhance cooperation and camaraderie among participants.
He added that the Student Activities Department, through organizing such tournaments, seeks to promote a culture of institutional sports, given its role in boosting morale and building positive relationships among staff members.
He also noted that the department will continue to organize similar sports and recreational activities as part of its annual plan aimed at supporting the university work environment and encouraging active staff participation.
