The College of Medicine organized an awareness lecture for sixth-stage students as part of a series of preparatory activities for the visit of the National Assessor Team (NAT). The event aimed to enhance students' understanding of academic accreditation concepts and requirements.
The lecture was attended by the Acting Scientific Assistant to the University President, Asst. Prof. Dr. Lamia Abdul Kareem, and the Dean of the College of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Mustafa Murtadha, alongside Heads of Scientific Branches, a number of faculty members, and the university's administrative and functional staff.
The lecture included a comprehensive explanation of the nine accreditation axes, presented by a group of graduate demonstrator doctors. It highlighted the pivotal role students play in supporting the college's progress and contributing to projecting its academic image in a manner befitting its scientific status.
This event is part of the preparatory steps for the National Assessor Team visit, which follows the college's official attainment of eligibility. This confirms the college's commitment to completing accreditation requirements and achieving the highest standards of educational quality.
The awareness program is expected to cover all study stages successively in the coming period, as part of an integrated plan aimed at fostering a culture of accreditation and ensuring the sustainability of academic excellence.
